It’s the 21st century and women are still fighting for income and social equality. In this workshop, we discuss the systemic nature of gender inequality and its continuing impact for female-identified folx. We will also address LGBTQ+ representation in workplaces and play spaces. 

Participants will:
  • Understand the differences between sex and gender 
  • Leave with an understanding of the systems and institutions that led to current gender and sexual inequities
  • Learn to recognize the impact and indicators of sexism, homophobia, and transphobia  
  • Be provided with tools to make real change to empower themselves and others in their communities and workplaces
